Tom's Thoughts This Week...(20200703)

This week on our blog

As you may already know, I’m a voracious reader. I love to read and apply what I learn to my business. One of the best business books I’ve read in the last year (which says a great deal since I average reading one book every 10 days or so) is Mike Rose’s book ...READ MORE

This week on our podcast

When I graduated in 1984 from college with a Marketing degree, "digital marketing" was not a thing. Today, entire agencies are dedicated to "digital marketing" and it's here to stay. This week's podcast is with Mike Rose from Mojo Media Labs. We discuss why you need to embrace digital marketing as a business owner to maximize your business value. We also dive into his book ROE powers ROI: The Ultimate Way to Think and Communicate for Ridiculous Results. This is one of the best business books I've read (check out my blog). ROE (trademarked) is a methodology developed to get the right people into the right seats and maximize your return on investment. Three distinct roles compose any successful organization, and those roles are determined by Ways of thinking and communicating: Way One, the visionary; Way Two, the strategist; and Way Three, the tactician. I hope you get a chance to to check it out. No time to listen or watch the video? No problem, get the transcript right now!

This week in pics

In the middle of June, I went on an adventure in Alaska. It was an amazing trip full of great views and exciting moments, including this one where we stumbled upon a moose. They are much larger than they appear here - 6 feet tall and 1600 pounds large. What I learned on the Dalton Highway is the topic of this next week's blog and podcast. Check it out!
